Archival materials currently constitute the majority of the Luthuli Museum collection. They include letters written by prisoners during their incarceration on Robben Island, original newspaper clippings about Luthuli being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, articles related to Senator Robert Kennedy's visit to South Africa in 1966, as well as various manuscripts, articles and other documents that provide insights into the lives of Chief Luthuli and other ANC members living both in South Africa and in exile during this period.
